Russia chases Matt Murray in scoring four consecutive goals

Matt Murray stopped the first 15 shots he faced as North America jumped out 1-0. Russia then scored 4 goals on four consecutive shots in a 6:14 span during the second period, chasing Murray in Tuesday night’s group play action.

North America put together a thrilling third period in nearly completing a comeback but fell short to Russia in losing 4-3.

Murray’s night was a disappointment after looking nearly unbeatable through the exhibition rounds and the first four periods of group play. He suffered a thumb injury during the loss but the injury is not considered serious.
