Penguins goaltender Matt Murray has rejoined the team and is practicing this morning. Murray’s father James suddenly passed away last Tuesday that led to Murray taking a leave of absence from the team.
Murray along with injured forward Bryan Rust went through individual on-ice workouts prior to the Penguins practice that starts at 11:00 a.m. Both players will also participate in the team portion of practice.
Murray’s status for Tuesday’s game vs the Hurricanes is unknown at this point.
Rust is getting closer to returning to the lineup and his pending return could lead to the Penguins deciding to send Daniel Sprong back to Wilkes Barre.[/hide]
