Paul Skenes threw a career-high 103 pitches, including 74 for strikes in a Pirates 2-1 win over the Cardinals Tuesday Night. Skenes struck out eight and walked none in 6 1/3 shutout winnings. Skenes was so dominant; he received a standing Ovation from the Cardinals crowd.

“Overall, he was very impressive, manager Derek Shelton said. “We continue to see growth in Paul.”
