Veteran Matt Nieto has been placed on waivers today. The 32 year old who battled back this season from multiple knee surgeries/complications that put his NHL career in jeopardy, became a trusted regular by the coaching staff, appearing in 31 games and producing 1 goal, 2 assists on the season.
