Nylander’s OT Winner caps off a wild game @ PPG: If you’re going to be bad, be entertaining bad, especially on home-ice. The Penguins certainly provided that Sunday afternoon in a thrilling game as William Nylander scored 1:00 into overtime to sink the Penguins in OT:

  • Joel Blomqvist Struggles: More Defensive, Goaltending woes for the Penguins. Toronto stormed out to a 2-0 lead 4:39 into the game that included the 19th time this season the Penguins allowed a goal within the first 5 shots against. Blomqvist was beat side-to-side all day and Toronto’s elite talent upfront had a field day beating Blomqvist blocker side.
  • Milestones: Rakell, Crosby have Big Games: Sidney Crosby with a goal, 2 assists passed Bobby Hull on all-time goals list (611, 18th) and Gordie Howe in all-time assists to move into Top-10 all-time with 1,050. It was also a milestone game for Rakell starred in the loss with 2 goals and has 3 goals in his last two games ahead of the trade deadline. Rakell hit the 500-career point mark this afternoon.
