The Cleveland Browns stopped the Shedeur Sanders free fall in selecting Sanders in Round 5 at number 144th overall. Once linked to the Browns at #2 overall, the Browns passed on Sanders six times before finally taking him in the fifth round. Sanders wasn’t even the first quarterback Cleveland selected. They picked Oregon QB Dillion Gabriel in the third round at #94. Cleveland’s QB room includes Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Sanders, Gabriel and the injured DeShaun Watson. The loser of the draft was clearly Kenny Pickett with the selections of Gabriel and Sanders. Even with the Sanders slide, talk about an intriguing fit with Kevin Stefanski.
