For months Aaron Rodgers vs Mason Rudolph has been regarded by a majority of the local media as the ceiling of the 2025 Pittsburgh Steelers being in the neighborhood of 9-8 or 8-9 with Rudolph or Rodgers at the helm. They’ve been looked at as even counterparts by many.
Don’t count Ben Roethlisberger among them who isn’t buying the Mason Rudolph local media love fest……
“I have us 7-10 without Aaron, and I have us 11-6 with Aaron,” Roethlisberger said this week on his ‘Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger’ podcast.
A four-win difference is seismic in an NFL setting but hard not to agree with Roethlisberger on this one. Many trying to talk themselves into that Rudolph is an adequate starting level QB is the classic we love the backup mindset.
