Defenseman Erik Karlsson who is very comfortable in Pittsburgh along with his family, never pushed for a trade this summer and is among the biggest wildcards on the roster. Karlsson has shown glimpses over his two years in Pittsburgh where there’s still intrigue inside and outside of Pittsburgh that a new staff, system can bring out Four Nations ‘Erik Karlsson’ on a consistent basis.

“New Challenge, feel like most of the guys been here for a week…..excited to see what going to bring us,” Karlsson said of the current group. “Sometimes, new things can hopefully translate into something.”
