Andrew McCutchen named NL Player of the Month for July

Andrew McCutchen (.373 – 22 HR – 66 RBI) today was named the NL Player of the Month for the second straight month. McCutchen batted .446 with 41 hits, 7 home runs, 15 RBIs and a .739 slugging percentage in ghd month of July. McCutchen is 1st in NL in batting average (.373), runs (72), slugging percentage (.632), total bases (238). According to the Pirates, McCutchen is the first Pirates position player to be named player of the month two straight months since Bobby Bonilla in 1988.
