The NHL held a media conference call this afternoon with Penguins center Sidney Crosby.

A hot topic begining to generate is Crosby potentially making a run at Gretzky’s 51 games point streak. Crosby said that streak feels like another world away but he is getting the feeling that more people are begining to follow his streak.
“It feels like it’s a whole other world away, ” Crosby said when asked about Gretzky’s 51 games points streak. “I think at this point for me, especially in the last week or two, I feel like there’s been a little bit more attention to it and things like that. So yeah… I’ve definetely felt it but at that level I don’t think I’ve realized it and probably don’t feel it’s at that point….. but probably getting a little bit of that feeling as far as realizing people are following it more.
