Pitt players drawing interest
Former Pitt Panthers tight end Dorin Dickerson is drawing plenty of interest around the league as is blocking tight end Nate Byham.
Both players met with the Baltimore Ravens this week. Tight end is at the top of the Ravens wishlist in this April’s draft.
Both teams have drawn interest from teams in the AFC North.
The Steelers have shown interest in Byham as a late round target and the Cincinnati Bengals have expressed an interest in Dickerson.
Dickerson is projected as a 2nd-3rd round pick. Byham is getting plenty of looks in the late rounds.
Meanwhile, Former Pitt Panthers quarterback Bill Stull is visiting the Detroit Lions today and Stull will work out for the Lions this afternoon.
According to one league source, Stull’s stock is on the rise and could get drafted in the late rounds.
“Bill really helped himself after Pitt’s pro day, according to the source. “He showed arm strength and accuracy, and really caught some scouts by surprise. They didn’t know how strong he was. He is being considered as a 6/7th rd or PFA now.”
Stull led the Panthers to a 10-3 season in 2009. Stull threw for 2,633 yards and 21 touchdowns, including a 150.61 quarterback rating.
