The Philadelphia Flyers will be traveling to Pittsburgh for the first round of the playoffs.
Down 3-2 in the third period, Sean Avery and Blair Betts scored third-period goals to rally the New York Rangers to a 4-3 win over the Flyers on Sunday.
The loss was a missed opportunity for the Flyers as the Penguins gain home-ice for a rematch from last season’s conference finals.
Pittsburgh is

18-3-4 under Interim head coach Dan Bylsma and were 4-2 against the Flyers this season.
The Penguins are 25-13-3 at home this season
Games 1 and 2 and, if necessary, 5 and 7 will be played at Mellon Arena. The schedule will be announced later tonight.
