englland GAME 6 MORNING SKATE BUZZ
The Pittsburgh Penguins go into Game 6 tonight with the likelihood of being without two of their top-6 defenseman as Brooks Orpik won’t play tonight and Olli Maatta is not taking the morning skate for undisclosed reasons.
Derek Engelland who has yet to play in the playoffs, will draw into the lineup tonight if Maatta is a no go.
Of significance, the Penguins will indeed make adjustments tonight on their struggling power play.
Per Josh Yohe of the Tribune-Review and others on the scene, the Penguins will go back to 4 forwards and 1 defensemen on the top unit.
Matt Niskanen and James Neal have been elevated to the first unit and Kris Letang and Paul Martin have been dropped to the second unit.
The Penguins top power play tonight will be Chris Kunitz – Sidney Crosby – James Neal upfront with Evgeni Malkin and Matt Niskanen at the points.
The Penguins are 1-15 in the series vs New York.
