Pierre to receive second interview?

Has Pierre McGuire emerged as a serious contender for the Penguins GM position? McGuire was among the first four candidates to be interviewed last week, sources confirmed to Inside Pittsburgh Sports, and Pierre is believed to be heading to town today for a second interview.
Mike Prisuta of DVE says Pierre has been telling associates that he’s traveling to Pittsburgh today/tonight for his second interview.
Penguin officials feel McGuire has great potential as a talent evaluator and there is an obvious comfort level with ownership, something that will be very important with ownership looking to have a much more prominent role with NHL decisions. When you receive a second interview in a GM search, you are normally a serious contender.
Today marks two weeks since Ray Shero was fired. Agent Pat Brisson was the Penguins top target going into the search but Brisson has been lukewarm about making the jump.
Also to interview last week was Julien BriseBois, Jason Botterill and Tom Fitzgerald.
