Washington Capitals defenseman Brooks Orpik will have a hearing this afternoon with the NHL Department of Player Safety for his hit on Olli Maatta, the NHL announced.
The hearing will be a phone hearing, meaning if Orpik is suspended it will be for 5 games or less.
