The biggest goal in the final tuneup of the preseason is getting your starters out of the game unscathed. The Steelers on Sunday night did not accomplish that.

Safety Sean Davis who like some others was probably left in the game longer than he should have been, suffered an ankle injury and OLB Bud Dupree also exited the game with a thumb injury.

“Sean Davis has got an ankle that’s being evaluated,” head coach Mike Tomlin said afterwards. “Bud’s got a thumb. I don’t know how significant that is.”
