A fake punt for a first down helped set up Chris Blewitt’s 25-yard field goal on the final play of the game, lifting No. 25 Pittsburgh (6-1, 4-0 ACC) to a 23-20 victory over Syracuse on Saturday afternoon.

With the score tied 20-20 late in the fourth quarter, first year Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi made the gutsy call on fourth down near midfield. Punter Ryan Winslow hit Matt Galambos for 12 yards and a first down. Running back Qadree Ollison would go on to gain 26 yards on seven straight carries to set up the winning kick. Ollison, Pitt’s leading rusher, ran for 98 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers.

WR Tyler Boyd had a big game with 12 catches for 93 yards, added 39 rushing yards and had a 38 yard completion. QB Nate Peterman was 19-25 for 189 yards.
