Blackhawks 4 – Penguins 1: Patrick Kane had his second hat trick in three games and Scott Darling stopped 36 of 37 shots (.973 sv%) in a Blackhawks (40-18-5, 85 pts) 4-1 win over the Penguins (38-16-8, 84 pts).

It was the first meeting of the season between the last two Stanley Cup winners.

Marc Andre Fleury made 25 saves (.893 sv%) in the loss. Scott Wilson scored the Penguins lone goal, a breakaway marker in the second period, beating Darling upstairs with a nifty backhand goal. Ron Hainsey assisted on the goal, his first point as a Penguin.
