Coming out of the Christmas break tonight, the [hide] Pittsburgh Penguins will be without defenseman Kris Letang vs the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The team says Letang has a lower body injury and is “day-to-day”.
The Blue Jackets will be down several regulars with Cam Atkinson, Alex Wennberg and Zach Werenski all sidelined.
Elsewhere on the injury front, Justin Schultz skated prior to the Penguins morning skate and is trending in the right direction in his rehab. Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan indicated Schultz took a significant step today. [/hide]

He’s been traded
D thinks it’s lower body injury. Sullivan would never lie to the media.
Lower body injury? Did he get hurt wrapping gifts?
He doesn’t wrap gifts he just pushes blindly across the ice.
