The Steelers on Tuesday completely removed Le’Veon Bell from their official depth chart.

Bell as expected is absent again Wednesday morning as the Steelers reported today for their 9:00 a.m. meetings.

It will be a heavy dose of James Conner again in Sunday’s week 2 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

“We’re preparing to play this week with the guys that are here and working — James being central to that,” Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday. “I will not withhold information from you guys. If and when any of that changes, I’ll let you know. If it does not, my answer will remain the same.”

As for Bell, he remains in Miami partying at nightclubs as the football world awaits his next move.

The last chatter inside Steelers headquarters is that the best guess in the organization from top decision makers is Bell reports after the week 4 Baltimore game, getting a little practice time then be a full-go for the rest of the season after the week 7 bye.

The Steelers don’t believe this is going to be an 8-10 week holdout but Bell reporting before week 4 will be seen as a pleasant surprise.

Time will tell…..
