NHL News: Islanders acquire Jordan Eberle

The New York Islanders and Edmonton Oilers struck a one-for-one trade.

The Islanders desperately in the market for a top-6 winger, have acquired Jordan Eberle from the Oilers in-exchange for Ryan Strome.

Eberle, 27, has two seasons remaining with a $6 million cap hit. He had 20 goals and 51 points in 82 games during the 16-17 season.

Strome, 23, was the Islanders 1st round pick in 2011 (5th overall). He had 13 goals and 30 points in 69 games for the Islanders in 16-17.
