Citing the Penguins are trying to play the goaltender they believe that gives them the best chance to win tonight, Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan has named Alex Nedeljkovic (17-6-7, 2.95 GAA, .903 SV%) tonight’s starter vs the Nashville Predators. Nedeljkovic was pulled in Saturday’s loss, allowing 3 goals on 16 shots and has posted a save percentage under .886 in four straight starts and five of his last six starts. Tristan Jarry was not sharp in relief, allowing 2 goals on 14 shots in his first game action since March 22nd. A primary reason the Penguins are sticking with Nedeljkovic in a near must-win despite subpar #’s, is the win-loss record. Pittsburgh has lost 12 of the last 14 games Jarry has appeared in.
