Jets 4 – Penguins 1

Pittsburgh’s (21-14-6, 48 pts) two game winning streak came crashing down in a 4-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night. While every shot seemed to be an adventure for Dustin Tokarski, as the Jets also had two goals disallowed, the Penguins as a team struggled mightily to compete with the Jets over the final two periods. “It just wasn’t our best,” head coach Mike Sullivan said. Drew O’Connor scored the Penguins lone goal in the loss. Pittsburgh was outscored 3-0 during 5 vs 5 play over the final 40 minutes of play. Next up for the Penguins is a tough back-to-back trip to face the first place Carolina Hurricanes Saturday night.
