The Penguins (37-24-8, 82 pts) earned a 2-1 shootout victory over the New York Islanders (38-21-9, 85 pts) on Tuesday night. Kris Letang scored the lone goal in the shootout and Marc Andre Fleury stopped all three Islander shooters in securing the shootout win.
