Rutherford doesn’t endorse a starter in goal for Conference Finals

Matt Murray is fully expected to start in goal for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals but GM Jim Rutherford stayed out of endorsing Murray as the starter, saying Mike Sullivan will make the appropriate decision on who starts.

“The situation has been handled extremely well,” Rutherford said. “The coach will make the appropriate decision at the appropriate time.”
