The San Jose Sharks have punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final in eliminating the St. Louis Blues in six games with a 5-2 win Wednesday night in Game 6. It will be San José’s first ever Stanley Cup appearance.
Joe Pavelski scored his playoff leading 13th goal in the clinching win. Joel Ward had 2 goals.
If Pittsburgh wins Game 7 on Thursday night, the Penguins will have home ice in the Cup Final. If Tampa Bay wins, San José will have home ice.
