Defenseman Tim Erixon officially cleared waivers today, giving the Penguins roster flexibility to send Erixon down to Wilkes Barre/Scranton at any point, barring he doesn’t appear in 10 NHL games.
Erixon continues to practice as the No. 8 defenseman on the depth chart.
