WEEK 2 AFC POWER RANKINGS

1. New England Patriots (1-0) | Previous RK: (1) | WK 2: @ MIA
A 33-3 thrashing of the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 and the New England Patriots showed already of how big of a discrepancy there is between them and the rest of the field minus the Kansas City Chiefs. A cup cake schedule to open the season, not starting 8-0 would be a disappointment. The fascinating storyline for Week 2 is how much Antonio Brown plays and with the NFL investigation picking up steam, is it one game and done for Brown in New England?

2. Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) | Previous RK: (2) | WK 2: @ OAK
Patrick Maholmes is unstoppable and losing Tyreek Hill isn’t likely to slow this offense down in Week 2.

3. Baltimore Ravens (1-0) | Previous RK: (4) | WK 2: vs ARI
49 Point win in Miami saw LaMar Jackson put on a flawless performance in throwing for 5 TD’s to quiet his critics for one week. Baltimore has been the forgotten team in the AFC North and stunning as it may sound, this is a must-see offense with the run-pass option of Jackson and the addition of a big-play rookie WR in Hollywood Brown.

4. Houston Texans (0-1) | Previous RK: (7) | WK: 2: Vs JAC
Deshaun Watson covers so much and that was on display last Monday night against a top Super Bowl contender in the New Orleans Saints. Watson is that good to push the Texans near the top of the second tier group of teams in the AFC.

5. San Diego Chargers (1-0) | Previous RK: (6) | WK 2: @ DET
The offense didn’t miss a beat without Melvin Gordon who will return at somepoint but that run defense remains problematic.

6. Tennessee Titans (1-0) | Previous RK: (9) | Wk 2: vs IND
Tennessee flashed some of that old school mentality against the Browns, physically dominating the Browns in the trenches and showing how underrated that coaching staff is.

7. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) | Previous RK: (3) | WK 2: vs SEA
Is New England just a house of horrors for the Steelers? Today against the Seattle Seahawks will tell the story and the microscope is on the offense and whether the lack of playmaking ability was all about the Patriots or a glaring problem with the personnel.

8. Cleveland Browns (0-1) | Previous RK: (5) | Week 2 @ NYJ
Those Super Bowl Expectations in Cleveland took quite the hit with the Titans delivering a punch in the mouth. Cleveland is going to be handed a win against a depleted Jets team this week and the margin of victory will be something to watch.

9. Indianapolis Colts (0-1) | Previous RK: 10 | Week 2: @ TEN
Opening the season with two straight road games isn’t ideal but the Colts showed in San Diego how this group will remain competitive without Andrew Luck.

10. Oakland Raiders (1-0) | Previous RK: 13 | Week 2: Vs Chiefs
Believe in the Raiders? The Jon Gruden-Derek Carr relationship in Year 2 has taken off and the Raiders showed on both sides of the ball against Denver of being a much more talented group than last season. Don’t expect a win against the Chiefs but look for a competitive outing from Oakland.

11. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1) | Previous RK: 8 | Week 2: @ HOU
Nick Foles being lost for at least the next 10 weeks takes the steam out of the Jaguars being a sleeper in the AFC. Does that defense rebound in week 2?

Bottom-5
12. Buffalo Bills (1-0)
13. Cincinnati Bengals (0-1)
14. Denver Broncos (0-1)
15. New York Jets (0-1)
16. Miami Dolphins (0-1)
