Kunitz now credited with 4 goal game vs Capitals, first since Jagr in 2000

Chris Kunitz big game vs the Washington Capitals Sunday afternoon, just got bigger. The NHL announced today that Paul Martin’s first period goal has now been credited to Kunitz, giving him 4 goals on the afternoon. According to the Penguins, Kunitz is the first Penguin to score 4 goals since Jaromir Jagr did it vs the New York Rangers on October 14, 2000.
Kunitz now has 6 goals and 5 assists on the season and tied for a team-best +6 rating. He has 5 goals and 2 assists in his last two games and his 6 goals are a team-best.
