Latest Injury Buzz
Following Saturday’s game vs the Carolina Hurricanes, head coach Dan Bylsma said that Zbynek Michalek and Kris Letang both passed their baseline concussion tests. Now the team has a different tune regarding both players.

Bylsma said during today’s media session that Michalek and Letang have been diagnosed with concussions.
As I mentioned on Thursday, the Penguins were horrible at handling Letang’s situation early last week. They let him come back to play against Montreal, then he skated on Monday and Tuesday (traveling with team to New York), before being shut down and kept off the ice.
The way the Penguins handled Letang is similar to how they handled Crosby and Nick Johnson last season, not being cautious enough from the start.
Elsewhere on the injury front, Deryk Engelland is day to day with a lower body injury and Richard Park is a game time decision tonight, according to Bylsma.
Engelland as mentioned earlier won’t play tonight.
Jordan Staal will play
