One problem development for another…
here is what is annoying with the sprong situation….simon gets the past 5 games with crosby and crosby puts up 2 points in that span. would it really hurt to play sprong on sids wing for 5 games and see what happens? i’m still saying we really don’t know what sprong would do if he was put in a scorers role.
Simon has more points in the 15 games he’s played throughout the line up this year than Sprong has in the NHL preseason included! Sprongs entire game is offence but has done fuck all, including in the same preseason along side Crosby! The guy you keep shitting on is better away from the puck by leaps and bounds and out produces Sprong!

Whatever they do I hope it helps. Sprong has struggled so much to the NHL game regardless of who he has played with but there is the “offensive ability” that remains intriguing. End of the day it’s unlikely he finds his groove in Pittsburgh… looking at the young bodies that found their way into the NHL through the Pens system there was a lot less issues with how they slid into the line up which makes it feel like Sprong is so far away. I agree, the way this team is set-up, he won’t get much of a chance here and the return can’t be anything more than a guy similar to him.
I know they won 2 cups because he did make some nice moves along with young talent performing beyond expectations. But he hasn’t been good the last two off-seasons and even last trade dead-line. Time has passed?
