The Penguins are seeking a third line center. They have inquired about 3 players who fit the profile.

Danny Markov rejected the Penguins 2 yr – 6 million offer late last night. Danny Markov’s price has risen. Markov may not be out of the picture.

Talks with Andy Sutton did not go far after his agent made it known Sutton was looking for 3 million + per season. A reason he is still available i have been told.

The Penguins and Vancouver each were offering Paul Kariya a 3 yr – 12 million deal. Following Jason Blake signing in Toronto, the Blues upped their offer around 9 p.m. est to 6 million per season.

It is believed the Penguins are exploring all their options and at the right price i’ve been told they may still add another forward and defenseman. If they would add another D-man which seems unlikely the trade route is a certainty.

Boston and Calgary called the Penguins about unloading salary. It is believed the Bruins are shopping Glen Murray.
