Insider Only Marc Andre Fleury records back-to-back shutouts for first time in career

  • Marc Andre Fleury put together a career week just as negotiations between both sides on a new contract are underway. Fleury made 18 saves in a 5-0 Penguins win over the Sabres, recording his third shutout in four games and has now recorded back-to-back shutouts for the first time in his career. “You have a feeling your goaltender is in a zone, so we went back to him tonight,” Mike Johnston said of his decision to start Fleury. “He was good in Nashville and continued right through this week. You can’t say enough about having a goaltender that will play like that.”
