MARINERS CHASING MARTE?

“The Mariners have been pursuing Starling Marte in trade talks, though it unclear if the Pirates are willing to part with their left fielder after signing him to a five-year, $31-million contract in spring training. The Pirates are said to have interest in number of players on the Mariners’ Class AAA Tacoma farm club, including right-hander Taijuan Walker and middle infielders Nick Frankllin and Chris Taylor. All are considered major league-ready by many scouts.”
