Pittsburgh Sports Insider first reported that 4-star linebacker Trinity lineback Mike Yancich was leaning towards committing to Penn State and i can confirm this as I have been told as 3:05 p.m. from a family member of Mike Yancich, that he will announce tonight at 6 that he will commit to Penn State University. The family member told me at this moment “Yanich is 90% certain” he will commit to PSU. It is believed it really came down to PSU and UConn. As of memorial day weekend, my source told me Yancich was really impressed with the UConn coaching staff and the facility plus the oppurtinity to play right away played a factor in UConn being strongly considered. As it might have been tempting to attend Pitt and UConn how can you pass up playing in Linebacker U.
