1. News: Pirate Fans plan walkout on June 30th

Views: The walkout seemed like a longshot at first but it is gaining steam in recent days. Whether it is a success remains to been seen but they have an endorsement from me. What is alarming is the Pirates telling FSN not to show the walkout and talk show hosts Tim Benz, Joe Bendel and Ellis Cannon being not permitted to take calls on the walkout do to their stations affiliation with the Pirates.

2. News: A reported 4 team deal that would send Kevin Garnett to the Lakers is off the table

Views: The Lakers must find a way to get a third team involved if they have any hopes of landing the Big Ticket. The Atlanta Hawks hold the number 3 & 11 picks in the first round and are the rumored team that may get involved. New reports are the Lakers are out of the sweepstakes and the Suns are the front runners to land Garnett with Shaun Marion going to Boston and the T’Wolves receiving Bostons 5th overall pick. Regardless of what espn is reporting, the Lakers hopes of keeping Kobe Bryant rest on the shoulders of Lakers GM Mitch Kupchik to land Kevin Garnett. I don’t care who the Lakers have as a supporting cast, there will not be a better a tandem then Bryant & Garnett.
