Cotchery getting starter reps in practice

Emmanuel Sanders said after today’s practice that he will start if Hines Ward (ankle) is unable to play.
However, that will only be the case in certain personnel formations.
Jerricho Cotchery has been seeing significant starter reps in practice through two days and offensive coordinator Bruce Arians hinted at Cotchery seeing a lot of time in Ward’s spot on Sunday (if Ward can’t play).
“I feel very comfortable with Jerricho in his spot {Hines Ward’s} or Emmanuel splitting it, ” Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said today.
“In certain personnel groups…. yes, ” {Cotchery will start}, Arians said.
Cotchery has not had any impact this season in his limited action. The Steelers coaching staff though has felt he would be counted on for a big role at somepoint this season. Hines Ward even said in the preseason that Cotchery “is going to win them a game”.
His opportunity could finally come Sunday afternoon.
