Pittsburgh Steelers Linebackers coach Keith Butler has been given permission to speak to the Arizona Cardinals about their vacant defensive coordinator position. Butler has worked for the Steelers since 2003 and is considered the favorite to replace Clancy Pendergast as the Cardinals’ defensive coordinator.
Butler was also coveted by the Cardinals in 2007 when Ken Whisenhunt was first hired but the Steelers declined Buter permission to jump ship two seasons ago.
