Will Bissonnette be placed on waivers?

For now Penguins winger Paul Bissonnette remains in the mix to make the Penguins roster, although the signing of Ryan Bayda makes Bissonnette a longshot as the Penguins are expected to make their official cuts Tuesday afternoon, following tomorrow’s practice.
Of the players who have to clear waivers, there’s some concern in the organization that Paul Bissonnette won’t clear waivers.
One team being connected to Bissonnette this evening have been the New York Islanders. The Islanders scouted 3 of the Penguins 6 pre-season games and have been linked to Eric Godard this summer.
But, the Islanders are looking for a tough-guy that can also play and Bissonnette fits the bill. He’s a player that’s still developing.
Three other teams, Penguins scouts worry that could give Bissonnette a look is the Toronto Maple Leafs, Minnesota Wild and the Colorado Avalanche.
As for Eric Godard — would the Penguins make a bold move and keep Bissonnette and place Godard on waivers? Very unlikely I’m told.
