Williams to push for top-9, power play role?

A potential sleeper to keep an eye on next month when camp begins is veteran forward Jason Williams.
Williams who has 93 career goals, is not that far removed from a 19 goal, 47 point performance in 2008-2009.
Head coach Dan Bylsma is among those inside the organization extremely intrigued about Williams, citing his ability as a right handed shot, playing with skill players in the past and ability to play the point on the power play.
“Jason Williams is a guy as well who has shown he can play with some skilled players, shown he can play the point on the power play, shown he can add some offensive ability throughout a good lineup. Something he’s going to get a real chance to do in training camp.
