Sources tell Inside Pittsburgh Sports that defenseman Kris Letang will return by the end of the week with a likely target date of playing Saturday afternoon against the Florida Panthers. Letang could practice tomorrow before the Penguins depart for Boston. Letang has been out with a foot injury.

Right now the talk is the Penguins top 6 when Letang returns will be Orpik, Letang, Scuderi, Whitney, Gill and Boucher, with Eaton as the #7. Coaching staff is very high on Boucher for some reason. Still trying to figure that out.
What the Penguins should do is move Boucher or Eaton and let Goligoski play. Columbus and Anaheim have shown interest in Boucher but again the coaching staff sees him as a valuable component. At this point there is no market for Eaton. Sending Goligoski down to WBS does him no good.
