Winger Brendan Shanahan continues to explore the free-agent market according to the Philly.com. “He’s still trying to see which is the best fit,” his agent, Rick Curran, said last night. Sources tell Inside Pittsburgh Sports, the Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks and the Montreal Canadiens remain potential landing spots for Shanahan. Chicago and Montreal have been making late pitches to lure Shanahan to their cities. The Flyers, Capitals and Devils are near the top of Shanahan’s wish list. It has not been confirmed that the New Jersey Devils have made a offer but there has been discussions between the two sides.
