A late turnover and a change at quarterback led to 10 fourth quarter points for NO. 3 Penn State who won their first game in Ohio State since joining the Big Ten in 1993. Starting quarterback Daryl Clark suffered an apparent concussion in the third quarter, although it was unclear during the switch as Clark was clearly upset about the switch.
Pat Devlin came off the bench for the injured Clark in the fourth quarter and led two scoring drives including a seven-play, 38-yard drive that took 4:13 and resulted in a 1-yard touchdown run from Devlin. Devlin did not complete a pass in the game. Daryl Clark completed 12-of-20 passes for 121 yards before leaving the game. Running back Evan Royster had 77 yards on 19 carries. The Lions defense limited Buckeyes star running back Chris Wells to 55 yards on 22 carries. The Nittany Lions improved to 9-0 and play at Iowa (5-3) on November 8th
