Agent cites travels problems, need for Jagr to settle in
Jaromir Jagr joining the Pittsburgh Penguins is on hold for at least one more day.
“No decision will be coming tonight, ” {from Jagr}, agent Petr Svoboda tells Inside Pittsburgh Sports.com via phone just after 9:30 p.m.
The reason why?
Svoboda indicates Jagr had some “troubles traveling overseas”, which is the reason for the delay.
Svoboda tells me he expects to talk to Jagr in the next hour (10:00-11:00 p.m.) when he {Jagr} gets settled, and that a decision is now likely to happen tomorrow.
“We’ll talk at length in the morning, ” Svoboda said. “He’s had a long day.”

I’m not sure I’m buying it but that’s the word right now coming out of Jagr’s camp.
The situation took an odd turn this afternoon when Jagr pretty much went missing as Svoboda told the Detroit Free Press that he had no clue what happened to Jagr and that he might have missed his connected flight.
Svoboda indicated earlier today that Jagr would land around 3:30 p.m.
