As we mentioned yesterday, cornerback Leigh Bodden was seeking a short-term deal with a contender for the opportunity to cash in during a potential non-cap season. Today, Bodden signed a one year deal worth $750,000 (incentive laden deal) with the New England Patriots according to the Boston Globe.
The 27-year-old Bodden was released by the Detroit Lions on Feb. 9, after a season in which he had one interception
The Patriots brought Bodden in for a visit on the first day of free agency.
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers also expressed interest in Bodden.
