The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-acquired Ben Lovejoy from the Anaheim Ducks. The cost was high as the Penguins have sent Simon Despres the other way. Lovejoy, 31, has one year remaining on his deal with a $1.1 million cap hit.
The Penguins wanted a right handed shot and they got one at the expense of Simon Despres, a former first round pick who is just 23 years old.
The return for Despres is clearly causing some shock waves around the league.
The deal is pending a trade call.
