Inside Pittsburgh Sports has learned The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Joey Haddad to a three year entry-level contract and have re-assigned him to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The 6-2, 189-pound forward attended the Penguins prospect camp and earned an invitation to main training camp. Haddad played well in the prospect camp playing on a line with prospect Casey Pierro-Zabotel. Haddad played in 70 games with Cape Breton last season, scoring 62 points (31 goals, 31 assists) along with 103 penalty minutes.
