The Pittsburgh Penguins will host a children’s book drive to benefit the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh on Friday night, when the Pens take on the Los Angeles Kings at 7:30 p.m. at Mellon Arena.
Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently-used children’s books to the game. Cash donations are also welcome and will be used to purchase new books. Donations will be collected at Gates 1, 3 and 10 until the 10-minute mark of the first period.
The books will be distributed to local Carnegie Library branches throughout the Pittsburgh area.
Fans who make donations are eligible to win autographed Penguins memorabilia.
