Pirates move into sole possession of second place in the wild card race

Andrew McCutchen, Neil Walker, Jordy Mercer and Gerrit Cole all homered and the Pirates pounded 19 hits to complete a three game sweep of the Chicago Cubs with a 10-4 win over the Cubs on Sunday afternoon. The Pirates outscored the Cubs 20-7 during the series.
The three game sweep of the Cubs and a lose by the Brewers has moved the Pirates into sole possession of the second wildcard spot.
If the playoffs ended today, the wild card (play in-game) playoff game would be Pittsburgh traveling to San Francisco. Pittsburgh won the season series, 4-2, against the Giants.
1. San Francisco Giants (78-65)
2. Pittsburgh Pirates (74-68)
3. Atlanta Braves (74-69, .5 GB)
4. Milwaukee Brewers (74-69, .5 GB)
