Tomlin_edited-1-388x324 Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin entered this season under contract for two more years (2015, 2016) with a salary of $6 million per season and Tomlin today signed a two year extension, keeping him under contract with the Steelers through the 2018 season.
“I am pleased to announce we have extended Mike Tomlin’s contract through the 2018 season,” said Steelers’ President Art Rooney II in a released statement. “Mike has proven he is one of the top head coaches in the National Football League, and we are confident he will continue to lead the team in our pursuit of another Super Bowl championship.”
Tomlin entering his ninth season as Steelers head coach is currently one of the top-10 highest paid coaches in the game and his new contract is expected to pay him upwards of $7 million per season when it kicks in for the 2017 season.
